Bienvenidos a Utah, Ulises!!!

This is Ulises. He is a returned missionary who was raised and grew up in Uruguay, where he also served a mission, but he lives in Spain. I met him at a stake Barcelona dance last year, and we've stayed in contact. I was telling him that a study abroad was very possibly one of the greatest most enriching things I've ever done with my life... So, now he is here doing a study abroad of his own. He'll be here (in Utah) until October. He's in Provo going to BYU.

he brought me a Barcelona jersey!
Then we took him to watch Grace's softball game and he met all of my nieces.

I think Sofia has a crush on Ulises... Ulises thought it was THEE FUNNIEST THING when Sofie kept asking him, "Why do you have a beard?"

Ulises is so dedicated to learning English while he is here. He won't speak Spanish with me. But I only speak Spanish to him so that I can get better. We are constantly correcting each other, and learning a lot from each other.

Grace as the catcher!

Ulises and Ryan both came to watch me play soccer this night. I'm so cool I brought my own audience with me... and check the jersey... no messing around with that baby on...
We've had 4 games in indoor soccer. We've lost 3... last night was our first win. It was 14 to 6. I helped out the win by scoring a goal. Plus, whenever a girl scores, it's worth 2! It's so much fun playing on a co-ed team with a lot of kids I graduated from high school with and that I stayed good friends with.
