College...

So... the semester was extremely difficult... I don't know if I've ever been more happy to end a semester. Okay... maybe once or twice I have been. It always feels good to get done... Now I apply for the nursing program in about 3 weeks... and I'm taking the semester off of school, because I am officially done with all my pre-requisits, and I could really use an 8-4 job or a 9-5 job (let me know if you know of any available) for the next 9 months... (assuming I get into a program). I'm applying to Weber, the University of Utah, the DATC, OWATC, and maybe SLCC. I find out in March or April. Cross your fingers for me, I've heard 3rd time's the charm. Also in the mean time... I've started having anxiety attacks... or body freak out attacks... I've had a dull, aching pain over my heart for a while, and one night it got REALLY sharp and painful... scary... right? my blood pressure was scary high (for me)... long story short I went to the doctor the next day and he said I may have pleurisy... but then later it sounded more like acid reflux, or GERD. It's been like 3 weeks now... :( I'm scared. I have medication... but I still have pain. Sigh. I hate being sick. I don't get sick very often, but when I do, it's bad. this is by far the scariest sickness though... I'm 22 years old... Way too young to have serious health problems. In the mean time, I CAN'T HAVE CHOCOLATE?!?, NO POP, NO CAFFINE, NO CITRUS FRUITS, NO SUGAR... (pretty much, since sugar is acidic)... and no fast food. That one is fine though. but i still have pain. Ugh. pray for me. anyone have more suggestions on how to ease the pain? I prop my pillow up every night, too... UGH. But hey. I'm out of school now, that's a plus, and Christmas is soon, so that'll be fun,... but too bad I work a GRAVEYARD SHIFT ON CHRISTMAS EVE... 8Pm-8am... horrible. but hey. time and a half, so that's a plus. Trying to stay positive...

  1. Jessica...that is no fun at all. I will be praying for you, both to get better and to get into school! I loved SLCC a lot. I wonder if you could ask Jane about some essential oils that maybe you could use to help with the symptoms. Get well soon! Hugs!
