since ryan is an avid tennis player and plays for Weber State University, he's had problems with his knee. His patella tendon was inflamed, frayed, and coming off his bone. He also explained other pain to the doctor in the medial portion of his knee. I'm so glad he mentioned it. Scar tissue had been building up and had been rubbing on his femur, softening his bone up from the rubbing. But. all of these things should be fixed now. To refrain from future injury, the doctor recommends stretching calves, quads, and hamstrings every day. Ryan has a long way ahead of him to get better. He's sad he's out for the rest of the season. He'll be on crutches for the next few weeks.

look at his precious little feet! i love him.

the surgery went really well.

the last "legal" document he was allowed to sign in 48 hours, saying that anesthesia was alright.
I just wish I could be there to take care of him right now. but I can't unfortunately. I am stuck at home with the flu, and people who have had surgery are extra susceptible to getting sick. its sad... neither one of us can take care of each other right now.... in due time.. I hope I can get better fast.. I hate missing school.
