HAHAHA. LOOK WHO I FOUND!!! I graduated from high school with these friends,
Steve and Danny

Explaining to everyone that that was the hardest bike ride I've ever done... I always forget how hard triathlons are until I'm actually doing one...

i see the finish line!

Here I come! I was going neck and neck with this one girl from BYU for the last 100 yards. Her other friend was running along the side of her, who had already finished the race, who was yelling, "COME ON, BYU!!! COME ON! PUSH IT!!" and I looked behind me about 5 feet... and there they were... and I said, "NO! WEBER STATE! WEBER STATE! GREAT GREAT GREAT!" We were going SO hard to try and beat each other... and I don't know how... but she ended up winning me by 1 or 2 seconds. Until next year, BYU...
I'm joining the Weber State triathlon club...

This was my pack that I rode with

My parents kept driving ahead and stopping on different parts of the bike course, to cheer me on and take pictures. I couldn't stop laughing... my mom is my biggest fan, my mom, lunged on the grass, waving one of her arms in a big circle yelling, "JESS! COME ON! YOU GOT IT! YOU GO GIRL! I LOVE YOU! GO JESS!"

It was the HARDEST 11.7 miles I've ever done on a bike... We climbed up from Lake Mead ...2500 feet

My lower back... and butt (sorry)... were aching...

And then my calves were burning...

Transition 1!

LET THE SWIM BEGIN!

Excuse me while I go get a PR (personal record) on my half mile swim. I usually swim a half mile in about 22 minutes. In this race, I finished it in 15, which was surprising, especially since I had to swim with one eye closed since my goggles weren't working properly...

I'm wearing Lisa's nike jacket... i have a piece of her with me with every tri
INFINITY! I had the coolest number.

Setting up my things..

My parents are good sports. It was early. but who wouldn't want to watch a sunrise over
Lake Mead?
