New Beginnings. El Barrio. Church in Spanish Harlem.

I was glad I was in NYC this day. There was SO much work and preparation to have New Beginnings for the young women of Spanish Harlem. I was glad I could help make lion cupcakes, potatoes, set things up, clean things up... it was a lot of work! It was so worth it though, EVERY YOUNG WOMEN came in the ward. That's really great. Especially since only 2 of them were in church this day. Church is quite different in Harlem than it is in Utah. Seriously. I forgot what it's like to work so hard for any kind of religious gathering...

The Young Women's President of El Barrio. She's amazing... that's all I can say.

Candice came up to me and was like. Hey. I went to Davis. and I have a little brother that is your age. his name is Riley. and I'm like, "Ha! Yes, I know him!! I went to his homecoming a few weeks ago! I used to go snowboarding/skiing with him back in the day, and had a few classes with him." Small world.

Our feet hurt after this day. And I drank a Power Up juice from Nintendo World... it was kind of.. strange. haha. but thank you for it, family!
