Arizona

the shoes...... these could make me cry. I sent these to Lisa. From Spain. to the wrong address. So they came back to Spain. When I didn't live there anymore....

From Spain. to Arizona. to Spain. to Arizona. She finally got them. and I... got them back. these are forever so special to me... although they bring tears to my eyes..

And to end the trip, we ate at Housten's (mainly to make my dad jealous). And it was good. My mom and I didn't want to go home this night. Although the weekend was hard and emotional, I am really glad I went. It was a nice little weekend break from Utah.

And it was really REALLY hard. For all of us. Emotional. My mom and I helped Chris and Renda box up Lisa's clothes... and shoes...
And then we went to Lisa and Chris' apartment...
Chris & Bill

... of course. I was glad that Randy likes this place as much as I do.

Chris feeding Ralph is first and last cupcake of his life... Ralph got sick this night.
Sprinkles is SO good. Mine was the cocoanut one.
HAHA! I talked Sandra into this one... Ralph was waiting for us at home.
We went shopping. There was this shop called "Lush." And we pulled Randy in. And This lady started rubbing weird soapy things all over us...

It was fun driving all over and having the Okland's point out things that they've built.
Renda knows how to stay hydrated!
I seem to see orchids EVERYWHERE now... I am referring to my grandpa's funeral speech given... "So what more was Lisa to me than a granddaughter? Lisa. Is an orchid. In Eden."
And I saw some Derricks!
Then we went to the Biltmore Hotel (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1929) where really expensive houses are (like 25 million dollar houses)... as well as a golf course, and really nice condos that surround the whole golf course.

we ate here. it was good.

The bikes. HA! We all got to pick one to take for a ride around Scotsdale one morning.
The backyard.
after the art show, we went and ate at Sauce. We had a melon pizza, WHICH WAS DELICIOUS!, as well as a chicken ceasar salad pizza, which was also sooo great.
The art show

Renda, I love you. You too mama.

There was a live band outside playing some Beatles music... I can't think of a better thing to uplift my mood

Sandra (Chris's mom) , Renda, Mama, me.
I particularly fell in love with another one of her cyanotopes.. , which I'm pretty sure was also taken in Spain.

Parts of Lisa's body in Nature
I don't know what it was about this corner... but I would get SO emotional every time I would get close to these... maybe because I have an original- so obviously it wasn't present here, because she gave it to me... the last time I saw her...

Ralph was ready to drive us!

It was a nice walk in the warmer weather of Arizona to this bagel place. We all came home from this and went to sleep! The nap was needed, we got there super early.

Chris. Renda. Randy. Sandra. Mama Paula. All enjoying our bagel breakfast.
This was so delicious. I would eat here over Einstein's any day... if one existed in Utah...
3 lucky people from my family got invited to Arizona, to see our cousin Lisa's art show that was dedicated to her. Unfortunately- only 2 of us were able to go. My mother and I went. Private jet style!
